I was delighted to be invited recently to write a regular column for the quarterly Journal of the BACP Workplace Division. The Division “is for everyone interested in the provision [of] counselling in the workplace, the emotional health of organisations and the individuals within them. We are concerned with counselling that is provided directly or indirectly through organisations, and a wide range of related employee support activities.” The journal is is a great resource for Employee Assistance Professionals (EAP) and Human Resource Professionals (HR).
Every quarter I shall be exploring aspects of Cyberspace as they apply to the workplace – both from the point of view of being a workplace counsellor and also as a person within a working environment. This article first appeared in the Summer 2013 issue of Counselling at Work, the quarterly journal of BACP Workplace, published by BACP©, and we are delighted to be given permission to reproduce it here at the OTI blog for our friends and colleagues.
