How We Work in Second Life

Kate and DeeAnna have office space in Second Life.  We conduct monthly Open Office Hours from our Conference Room and the  direct link is http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tranquil/63/35/501.

If you are not a member of Second Life you can join for free.  Once you visit our office you can join the Online Therapy Institute group.

Group members will receive regular updates about seminars and group discussions that we will hold inworld.  Our seminars and discussions will be focused on online therapy and online clinical supervision.

While we do not offer clinical services inworld, we do encourage orientation and consultation appointments at our office in Second Life.

We are available for the following orientation and consultation topics:

• Meet with mental health clinicians, teachers and other professionals to discuss basics of working inworld.
• Meet with clients, trainees and supervisees who wish to experience communicating as an avatar.
• Meet with individuals who want a better understanding of the emotional impact of having an identity in a virtual world.
