I recently had the privilege of presenting at the Psychotherapy Networker Symposium and what a great experience I had! My presentation was on Sunday and I arrived on Friday so I had a couple of days to meet and greet! I saw old friends and made new. I was thrilled to see Melanie LaDue Gorman (@Melanie360 on twitter) of YourTango. She is the Senior VP of YourTangoExperts and if you are a relationship therapist or coach you need RUN, not walk and allow Melanie to assist you with your marketing strategies, beginning with a listing on the site. I was also fortunate to be reacquainted with Dr. Martha Ireland of Virtual Therapy Connect and I can’t wait to hear more about her online therapy platform. I ran into Cathy Noblick who lives very near me but with busy lives we wait to see each other at the conference! I was thrilled to see Deborah Owens. I know Deb but this was our first in-person meeting! We had only previously met in Second Life and through social networks online.
I met some wonderful new folks too!
Susan Osofsky was so welcoming at the morning presenter breakfasts and we talked about all things Symposium, Jersey Shore, anxiety (her specialty).
Lawrence Shapiro of www.TalktoAnExpertInc.com has a new online therapy AND coaching platform for experts who want to be able to offer online services and this is another site I hope to say more about soon.
Jim MacKinnon of virtualmachina.com works with Psychotherapy Networker to produce their webinars and he offers a very unique service for therapists and other professionals who wish to add a professionally developed video or webinar(s) to their repitoire.
And those are just the highlights!
Sunday arrived and I gave a 3 hour presentation: Therapy’s Digital Future. I discussed everything from email to virtual worlds.
